SVDP - St. James Conference

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization that has served this community of St. James since 1973.
Our mission is to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy
We as volunteers are called to serve those in need in our local community regardless of race, creed, gender, religion or age.

We help those in need with temporary assistance in crisis situations (such as food, housing, and financial assistance).
We also help families to access Marygrove Camp for girls and Camp Ozanam for boys.
Our annual Christmas campaign is in partnership with our four local Catholic schools: St. James Cogan, F.X. O’Reilly, Monsignor Ronan and St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
All four schools have been consistent supporters of our efforts to share the joy of Christmas in raising funds for our families in need. 

We cannot help others without the support of this parish community’s generosity. Your donations provide vital encouragement and hope for those in need.
If you would like to make a donation there are envelopes available at the back of each church. Please include your name and mailing address.
Tax receipts are issued at year end for donations totalling $20.00 or more. You may place your donation in an envelope and place it in the collection plate or donations can be mailed to:
