Crux Ave
Crux Ave is for teens in grades 9-12. We gather every-other Wednesday night from 6 - 8 pm from October to May. It will start on Wednesday, October 7th. We meet in the St. James Church hall where we explore our faith in a dynamic way through games, a brief catechesis talk, free snacks, and activities.
Our goal with Crux Ave is threefold:
- help teens encounter Christ in a personal way, and grow closer to Him
- have fun at Church
- form good friendships. Friendships with volunteers, mentors, role models - people they can look up to, who will lead them closer to Christ. And friendships with other teens their age!
What age group is Crux Ave youth ministry?
Crux Ave is a ministry for high school students in grades 9 through 12.
What happens at a Crux Ave night?
Each Crux Ave night will include a welcome with games and opening prayer, a brief talk, free snacks, and an activity to wrap up the night.
When does Crux Ave run?
Crux Ave will run every-other Wednesday night from 6 - 8 pm on the following dates:

Is there a fee?
Attending Crux Ave is completely free! If you feel called to give, donations are always gratefully appreciated and help support the costs of running the ministry.

What does Crux Ave mean?
Crux Ave is a Latin phrase meaning “Hail O Cross of Mercy.” Christ crucified on the Cross doesn’t represent weakness or defeat, it’s a symbol of God’s powerful love, victory, and mercy!
How can I sign up as a volunteer?
Volunteers are invited to share their interests and skills to find the best avenue to volunteer (such as leading activities, giving talks, running games, administrative assistance, donating food or resources, etc).
