El Camino
El Camino is for youth in grades 6-8. We gather every-other Tuesday night from 6 - 8 pm from October to May. It will start on Tuesday, October 6th. We meet in the St. James Church hall where we explore our faith in a dynamic way through games, a brief catechesis talk, a break with snacks, and activities.
Our goal with El Camino is threefold:
- help the youth encounter Christ in a personal way, and grow closer to Him
- have fun at Church
- form good friendships. Friendships with volunteers, mentors, role models - people they can look up to, who will lead them closer to Christ. And friendships with other youth their age!

Is there a fee?
Attending El Camino is completely free! If you feel called to give, donations are always gratefully appreciated and help support the costs of running the ministry.
How do I register my child?

Why is it called El Camino?
El Camino means “The Way of St. James” in Spanish! It’s the name given to a famous collection of pilgrimage routes across Europe that lead to the shrine of St. James. Since St. James is our parish’s patron saint, we thought—who better to have along for the journey? We’re asking St. James to walk with us, pray for us, and help guide us on our ultimate journey: the way to Heaven!
How can I sign up as a volunteer?
Volunteers are invited to share their interests and skills to find the best avenue to volunteer (such as leading activities, giving talks, running games, administrative assistance, donating food or resources, etc).
